Quick answer

You can send direct messages to teammates, chat in group conversations and text clients by SMS — all from the Messages section of Oparo Connect.

Start a direct message

  1. On your computer, open Oparo Connect.
  2. On the left, click Messages.
  3. Click New message.
  4. Search by name, contact or number, then select one or more people.
  5. Click Start conversation.

Note: Who you pick decides the conversation type — a teammate opens an internal chat; a contact or phone number opens an SMS conversation.

Write a message

  • Press Enter to send. Press Shift+Enter for a new line.
  • Use the toolbar to format: Bold, Italic, Bulleted list, insert an emoji, or Mention a teammate with @.
  • To share a file, click Attach a file. Files can be up to 25 MB.

Send a text message (SMS)

  1. On the left, click Messages, then New message.
  2. Type a contact’s name or a phone number.
  3. Select the contact or number — the conversation is marked SMS.
  4. Write your text and press Enter.

Note: SMS requires telephony on your workspace’s plan.

Reply in a thread

To keep a discussion tidy, reply under the original message:

  1. Point to the message, then click Reply.
  2. Write your reply in the thread panel.

To read a discussion, click Open thread under the message.

Set a message’s priority

  1. In the composer, click Message priority.
  2. Pick Normal, Important or Urgent.

Schedule a message

  1. Write your message.
  2. Click Schedule send and pick the date and time.
  3. Click Schedule.

To cancel before it goes out, open “Scheduled messages” and click Cancel scheduled send.

From a message’s menu you can:
