Quick answer

You can use Oparo Connect to message your team, call colleagues and clients, share files and work with Paro, your workspace assistant — all in one place, connected to your workspace’s client records.

Before you begin

  • Connect is available to workspaces whose plan includes team messaging (Workspace Teams). If you can’t sign in, contact your administrator.
  • You sign in with your Oparo ID. Learn how to sign in with your Oparo ID.

Step 1: Sign in

  1. On your computer, open Oparo Connect.
  2. Click Continue with Oparo ID and sign in.

Step 2: Set up your space

The first time you open Connect, a short welcome guides you:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Create your first Squad — enter a name, for example “Sales team”, and optionally a first topic, then click Create. A Squad groups your team and its discussion topics.
  3. Click Enable notifications and allow notifications in your browser, so you’re alerted to mentions, replies and messages even when the tab is in the background.
  4. Click Enter Connect.

Tip: You can click Skip and do all of this later. Learn how to create squads and topics.

Find your way around

On the left, the navigation gives you each area of Connect:

Set your presence and status

  1. At the top, open Presence & status.
  2. Pick a state: Online, Away, Busy, Do not disturb or Offline.
  3. Optionally, add a status message — for example “In a meeting”.
  4. Click Save.

Note: Do not disturb mutes sounds, desktop alerts and banners.
