Make and receive phone calls
Quick answer
You can call any phone number — and your colleagues’ extensions — straight from Oparo Connect, using your workspace’s Oparo Phone line.
Before you begin
- Telephony must be included in your workspace’s plan. If you see “Telephony is not included in this workspace’s plan”, contact your administrator.
- You need an extension. Your administrator assigns one when your account is created.
Make a call
- On your computer, open Oparo Connect.
- At the top, click Make a Call. The dialpad opens.
- Wait for the status to show Ready.
- Type a name or a number:
- Start typing a name — pick the person under “Matching contacts”.
- Type an extension to call a colleague internally — internal calls are free.
- Type a full number to call outside — for example 514 555 0123.
- Click Call.
Note: If you dial a short number that isn’t an extension in your workspace, Connect tells you — check the extension, or dial a full external number.
During a call
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mute / Unmute | Turns your microphone off or on. |
| Hold / Resume | Puts the call on hold and takes it back. |
| Transfer | Sends the call to an extension or another number. |
| Keypad | Opens the keypad to enter digits — for example in a phone menu (“Press 2 for…”). |
| Hang up | Ends the call. |
Answer a call
When your number or extension is called, an incoming-call banner shows the caller.
- Click Answer to take the call.
- Click Decline to refuse it.
If the caller isn’t in your contacts, the dialpad offers to Create New Contact or Add existing entry. If the number matches someone you know, it shows “In your contacts”.
Review your calls
- On the left, click Calls.
- Filter your history: All, Phone, Team, Paro or Missed.
- Click a call to see its details. If the number is linked to a client, you can read and add notes under “Call notes” — they’re saved to the client’s record in your workspace.
