Manage Paro settings and memory
Quick answer
You can control how often Paro reaches out to you, whether it offers voice, and exactly what it remembers about you. These settings are yours — they apply only to your account.
Open Paro’s settings
- On your computer, open Oparo Connect.
- On the left, click Settings.
- Click Paro.
Choose how proactive Paro is
Paro can flag things on its own — overdue invoices, new leads, upcoming meetings, reminders. Under “Paro proactivity”, pick your level:
| Level | What it does |
|---|---|
| Silent — push nothing | Paro never reaches out on its own. You can still ask it anything. |
| Moderate — essentials only | Paro flags only what matters most. |
| Proactive — flag everything | Paro flags every signal it finds. |
Prefer text over voice
If you work at a shared desk, you can hide Paro’s voice-call button so conversations stay written:
- In Settings, click Paro.
- Under “Voice”, turn on Prefer text answers.
You can turn it back off here at any time.
See and erase what Paro knows about you
Paro keeps durable facts about you — preferences, context you’ve shared — so conversations have continuity. You’re in control:
- In Settings, click Paro.
- Under “What Paro knows about me”, read the list of facts.
- Next to any fact, click Forget to erase it.
- To erase everything, click Clear all.
Tip: You can also manage memory in conversation — tell Paro “Remember that I prefer morning meetings” or “Forget my delivery address”.
Note: These facts are personal. They’re used only in your own conversations with Paro, never in your colleagues’.
