Hear collaborator changes in Oparo Page
Quick answer
You can hear when other people join, leave or edit a document. Choose an Announcement level so your screen reader speaks the changes that matter and stays quiet during ordinary typing.
Before you begin
- Turn on Enable screen reader support. If it's off, Announcement level isn't available. Learn how to use a screen reader with Oparo Page.
Choose an announcement level
- On your computer, open a document in Oparo Page.
- In the menu bar, click Help, then Accessibility settings.
- Turn on Enable screen reader support if it isn't already on.
- Under Announcement level, select Off, Essential, Important or All.
- Click OK.
Tip: Important is the recommended default. It announces people joining or leaving and meaningful block changes, not ordinary typing.
What each level announces
Only another person's changes are announced. Your own typing is silent.
| Level | What you hear |
|---|---|
| Off | Nothing about other people or their edits. |
| Essential | Only when a heading, signature, table, workspace identity block or business object is removed. |
| Important | People joining or leaving, plus meaningful blocks: business objects, company identity, media, lists, callouts and similar inserts. Not ordinary typing. |
| All | Everything in Important, plus text edits. Text announcements wait a short pause so several keystrokes become one sentence. |
Note: Empty paragraphs and text formatting on their own (bold, italic, highlight) aren't announced. Folding or unfolding a heading isn't announced either. That change is only on your screen.
