Quick answer

You can find every file shared in your conversations — and your workspace’s documents — in the Files section of Oparo Connect. Opa reads each document, including scans, so you can search by content, not just by name.

Browse files

  1. On your computer, open Oparo Connect.
  2. On the left, click Files.
  3. Under “Smart folders”, pick a view:
    • Recents — the latest files.
    • Generated documents — invoices, estimates and other documents your workspace produced.
    • All files — everything, organized in folders you can browse.
  4. Narrow the list with the filters: All, Images, PDF, Documents or Other, and by source — Connect or Workspace.

Note: You only see files from topics and conversations you have access to. Files from private topics and direct messages stay private to their participants.

Search by name or content

  1. On the left, click Files.
  2. In the search field, type what you’re looking for — a file name, or words inside the document. A scanned invoice, for example, is found by its supplier’s name or its amount.

Upload and file a document

  1. On the left, click Files.
  2. Click Upload, or drag and drop your files anywhere in the list.
  3. Opa analyzes the document and suggests where to file it, under “File under”.
    • Click Place here to accept.
    • Click Change to pick another client or project.
    • Or keep it in Uploads and organize it later.

Preview a document and ask Opa about it

  1. Click a file, then Preview.
  2. Use the viewer to zoom and move between pages.
  3. Click Ask Opa to ask a question about the document — “What’s the total?”, “When does this contract end?”.

Jump to the source

From a file’s menu:

  • Go to the conversation — opens the message it was shared in.
  • Open in Workspace — for a workspace document, opens the linked record: the invoice, estimate, proposal, contract, expense, client or project.
