Quick answer

Go to Administration → Settings → Configure features → Client area content to write the sign-in page, choose your menu, add a welcome message and set what appears at the bottom.

Everything here is optional. Anything you leave blank keeps Oparo’s own wording, so you can change one line and leave the rest alone.

Both languages are shown side by side. That is deliberate. If you fill in only one, clients reading in the other still see your words rather than a blank space, but they see them in the wrong language. Filling in both takes a minute and is worth it.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the client area content settings

Administration → Settings → Configure features → Client area content.

  2. Name your client area

The name appears in the browser tab. Add a short description if you want one. A support email here is shown at the bottom of every page, so clients know where to write.

  3. Add your logo and images

A logo for the client area, an icon for the browser tab, and a square brand image. Leave the logo empty to use your workspace logo.

  4. Write the sign-in page

A headline and a line underneath it. This is the first thing a client ever sees, so it is worth writing.

  5. Add a welcome message

Shown at the top of the dashboard once a client signs in. You can use bold, lists and links, so this is a good place for a phone number or a booking link.

  6. Choose your menu

Untick anything you do not want clients to see, rename what is left, and set the order. Select Add your own link to point at your website or a booking page.

  7. Decide what appears at the bottom

Your business name, nothing at all, or your own wording.

  8. Save

Select Save at the bottom of the page. Clients see the change on their next page load.

Common problems

I hid something and a client says they still need it

Probable causes

  • Hiding an item only removes it from the menu

How to fix it

Tick it again and save. Hiding never removed their access, only the link, so nothing they had was lost while it was hidden.

My own link does not appear

Probable causes

  • The address does not start with https
  • The link has no name

How to fix it

Addresses must be full web addresses starting with https, and every link needs a name. A link with neither is not saved.

A client sees my text in the wrong language

Probable causes

  • That string was only filled in for one language

How to fix it

Fill in the other column and save. Oparo shows your words in whichever language you did write rather than showing nothing, which is why it looks translated when it is not.

I want a menu item back the way it was

How to fix it

Clear the name you typed and leave it blank. Blank always means "use the usual name".
